LOS ANGELES, CA - December 8. The greatest Filipino-American jazz artists in the United States will unite onstage on December 27 (Saturday), when JazzPhil-USA's 4th Annual Fil-Am JazzFest Presented by ABS-CBN returns to Hollywood's famous Catalina Bar & Grill Jazz Club.

The yearly JazzFest has demonstrated a unique ability to attract attention to Pinoy culture from the mainstream media. Consistently a "critic's choice" from all the major Los Angeles publications, the annual celebration of Filipino jazz has earned praise from the toughest music reviewers. The chief jazz critic of the Los Angeles Times, Mr. Don Heckman, wrote of last year's Fil-Am JazzFest, "The program was a delight, a nonstop string of first-rate performances testifying to the high quality of Philippine musical talent as well as the global reach of jazz."

This year's elite headliners are CHARMAINE CLAMOR, the creator of "jazzipino" and the first Filipino recording artist to place an album on the Top-5 of both the American Jazz and World Music radio charts; MON DAVID, winner of the 2006 London International Vocal Jazz competition; TATENG KATINDIG, the "Filipino Oscar Peterson" renowned for his virtuosity on the piano; THE BEN LUIS COLLECTIVE, the Bay Area's most celebrated contemporary jazz sextet; and BO RAZON, also from San Francisco, revered for his mastery of multiple instruments.

The 4th Annual Fil-Am JazzFest Presented by ABS-CBN will also mark the Los Angeles club debut of New York-based Pinoy pride JON IRABAGON, the first Filipino to win the jazz world's most prestigious prize, the Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition. Mr. Irabagon, an alto sax master, recently triumphed at the Kodak Theater, where he jammed onstage with legends like B.B. King, Herbie Hancock, and U2's Bono.

Historically, the Fil-Am JazzFest is a tough ticket. This year, with only one gala show, guaranteed seats will be at a premium. The Festival urges patrons to procure tickets while they are still available. Tickets for the 4th Annual Fil-Am Jazzfest Presented by ABS-CBN can be ordered online at www.JazzPhil-USA.com, or from Catalina Bar & Grill Jazz Club: 323/466-2210.

The 4th Annual Fil-Am JazzFest Presented by ABS-CBN is sponsored by the Law Office of David Zuckerman, Tribune-USA, and Remo. The emcee is legendary KKJZ radio personality Bubba Jackson, host of the popular weekday jazz show "Breakfast with Bubba" on 88.1 FM.
