JERSEY CITY– In an exclusive interview that will be on the next issue of Poptimes Magazine print, Bleud front man Brijo Miguel revealed that he will be releasing a solo album before the end of 2008.
He answered questions about the future of his band Bleud, and the scene in general.
He also revealed in the interview, that he indeed left his side-band Then Again a couple of weeks back.

Here are some excerpts from the coming exclusive interview:

Poptimes Magazine:
Tell us about this solo project?

Brijo Miguel:
The solo project is a group of songs that I've written over the course of the last 2-3 years that didn't fit in with what Bleud was doing at the time. The only thing is that I felt strongly about these songs - and they were very meaningful to me when I first wrote them. And now I finally have a chance to bring them to light.

Poptimes Magazine:
How many songs?

Briajo Miguel:
Eleven. Because most albums have 10 songs. What happens when you're listening to your favorite band's cd and at the end of the 10th song, you're still left craving more. What happens then? You crave an 11th song, but that album doesn't have one. But guess what. Brijo's solo album does.

There are rumors of an indefinite hiatus for Bleud. Any truth to this?

Brijo Miguel
We're on and off. Scheduling practices has been a bit tough because we've all been a bit busy catching up on our personal lives. Arnold has been busy playing the role of dad - Jerwin's enjoying the married life - Jay's been recording with Binky Bianca - Ted just finished things with RITB2 and is working on the second Happy Analogues album. As for me, I recently got sick - and I spent most of that time to myself. The time-off allowed me to re-charge my batteries.

Is it true that you left the band(Then Again)?

Brijo Miguel:
Yes. I did.

Why so? How did it come to you leaving the band?

Brijo Miguel
It just didn't feel right anymore, I was uncomfortable - I didn't feel that I was able to contribute the way that I wanted to unlike when we first started the band. I didn't feel as if I were giving my all, which was unfair to the rest of the guys.
