MANILA– One of the most sought-after rock artists in the Philippines, Rico Blanco, has released a free single to raise awareness, and ultimately, funds to help the victims of typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.
The single entitled, "Bangon," accompanied by a music video can now be downloaded for free on his website.

"I am offering a completely new song, 'Bangon' as a free download, " Mr. Blanco said." Hopefully it will also raise some badly needed funds through your donations. Warner Music Philippines is currently helping me set up a bank account to accomodate your cash donations as well as a Paypal account for those of you who wish to help from overseas."

Mr. Blanco also said that he is waiving all royalties due to him for this new song, which he will instead go to affected families.
