NEW YORK– One of the best groups in the scene, Chapter 2, came out with a new Christmas tune called 'Christmas Morning.'

The song, written by Dennis Sy was released through a music video of the same title, which showed a montage of the band and its individual members during the band's many gigs this year. It also serves as a Christmas message thanking their supporters for making 2009 a memorable year for the band.

Chapter 2 capped their gig season with a gig with Kitchie Nadal last weeknd at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Visit Chapter 2's website.

NEW YORK– After a short stint as a three-piece rock group, one of the most respected bands in the music scene, The Kuwagos, are a quartet once again. The band introduced their new bassist Jeff Wiley at a recent gig at Fontana's New York City last November 20. Mr. Wiley has long been affiliated with the band–even jamming with them a number of times in the past so it did not come as a surprise to their fans when front man Gatchie Ignacio announced their newest member.

Mr. Wiley and Mr. Ignacio, along with Kuwagos drummer Marc Lacsamana, are also  part of a  group called The Walkens–with Mr. Wiley fronting. Since 2/3 of the Kuwagos are already playing with Mr. Wiley, it came as a logical move to incorporate the talented bassist and singer  into the Kuwagos lineup.  Now, Mr. Ignacio, who was bassist before Mr. Wiley joined in,  will take the guitar once again along with their lead guitarist Cho Lopez.

Meanwhile, the band is launching their debut music video for the new single "Lagi sa Kama." The video was produced last year and was directed by Sheryl Garcia-Reyes. And since the video was shot last year, Mr. Wiley did not take part. However, it is certain that the coming videos will show the newly updated band lineup.

The Kuwagos are releasing two packages of music very soon. The first package is a set of old Kuwagos songs re=recorded in entirely new versions. This package will be available for free download on their label's website–www.soulworksrecords.com.
The second package consists of all new materials, including the single "Lagi sa Kama." Both upcomng releases are still untitled.

More information will be released. For now, the band wants its fans to enjoy their debut video.

NEW YORK– Soulworks is once again bringing in the holiday spirit by offering a free all-original Christmas compilation album entitled The Rocky Yuletide Collection. The album was first made available by the label for free download in 2005 and since then has maintained the tradition of having this great collection available to all every year.
