FREE PIN-UPS: From left to right: Mitch Singson(drums), Ryan Nachura(guitar), Jeng Tan(bass), and Mon Castro(vocals and guitar). NEW YORK– In yet another proof of the rapidly changing music industry, top Filipino indie band The Pin-Up Girls are treading the road most major record companies want closed: The band is having their albums available for free download. Note that the band is not releasing a free single or a free downloadable EP or album, they are making their ‘almost’ complete discography available without charge. The band’s discography consists of three albums: Hello Pain (2001), Taste Test Take On The Weakened Sky (2003), and All Seats are Taken (2006). The later contains a rare collaboration with the late Pinoy Rap legend Francis Magalona entitled “Water the Moon.”
