I FEEL that it's my obligation to share this story to you all to prove how far-reaching music can be and how music can inspire others to follow their dreams.

There are many Pinoy OFWs in Singapore that aspire to play in a band and/or to keep putting an extension  to their quest of becoming rock stars, or simply put, "musicians".  Just doing what they are passionate about, despite the reality of being a slave to their work in a corporate, or some other world.

And despite some of them becoming parents and spouses, which they are all happy to be, they  still could not shake off that dream.

Because of this, Pinoy bands sprung up and participated in gigs in the underground music scene  of Singapore, playing side by side with local singapore bands of diverse genres  and race. From Chinese-Singaporean, Malay, Indian, Australians, and even Indonesians.
In many cases, there will be one Pinoy band in a gig, not two or three.

But then one day, a conert promoter in Singapore decided to put up a front act gig of All-Pinoy bands as a marketing campaign  for the coming of Bamboo in Singapore.
It was the first time Pinoy indie bands met and collaborated.  PhilmusicSg was born right there and then, and Pinoy indie bands
started headlining gigs and selling out to a mass number of OFWs in Singapore. It was the best time to be in a band.

This went on for a while and the future certainly looked bright for the Pinoy music scene  in Singapore, and just when it seemed things won't get any better, they came accross a compilation album named "Rock in the Box" from the States.

The dream of putting up a compilation album was in the minds of some of the bands at that time, but this CD certainly gave most of them a big push to go ahead and "just do it".

And so, after months of song writing clinics, recording clinics, album launch gig preparations, and hours of practice labours, PhilmusicSg was able to give birth to its first born named "Banda Fantastica" the album. And sure enough, in the same year "Banda Fantastica 2" followed. PhilmusicSg sure was busy

Below are some of the album reviews and album launch photos...
