Reprinted from Philippine News By Pasckie Pascua BALTIMORE—It was the first time that Frazier’s on the Avenue booked a full seven-band bill of “unknown” Filipino rock acts – an unprecedented fare at the club, located at the notoriously iconoclast Hampden `hood in this city. As expected, traffic was tough and parking rough at the inner West 36th Street, leading to the venue. No problemo.

Lost Poetics.... man, you guys sounded soooo good! What a way to debut! Everyone from Indiagos for coming out and sharing their resources, especially the sound... You guys got everyone wild! Lucid Blur.... well what can I say about Lucid Blur except... You guys represented the true essence of rock and got everyone in good spirits!!! And our dear friends from ACI9 which also debuted their new members... What a sound!!!! Duel solos!!! Da-amn! Also, thanks goes to Gerald and DJ Kenny from Habitat Records for those kickin beats, definitely got people moving throughout the night. Thanks also to the Committee on Pilipino Issues for the space and being our backbone towards uplifting our community. Thanks to all the bands who did not perform but came out to support including, Abukas, Sons of the Third, Soundscraper and more! Special thanks also goes to Natalia for organizing the event, Brenda at the Door, and for everyone who brought food to share! This was a huge success despite all the challenges we faced getting it started. It proved that by coming together and keeping positive, anything is possible.

TINOLAPALOOZA (March 15, 2008 @ the El Mocambo) – This is the second installment of Minerva Records for 2008 and is definitely a major come back from the very first Tinolapalooza a few years ago. One should expect different styles of music throughout the night… from Pop to Metal… and alternative to acoustic. Great acts plus a great venue = awesome event. Minerva records would like to invite Fil Am bands to join this major event.

Pedro Gil IT is a daunting task to even think about the Filipino-American music scene without thinking about Pedro Gil. The band has become synonymous with the scene itself and has continously inspired new artists to come out and represent.
They are uncompromising when it comes to their music and focused when it comes to their goals.
Poptimes Magazine finally caught up with Pedro Gil and managed to pick their brains for everyone in the scene to share.
While the band had lineup changes in the past, it is important to note that this interview may perhaps be the final interview the band will ever give with their bandmate Mike still in the band. As of presstime, we have been informed that he left the band. No official statement has come from the Pedro Gil camp yet, but we all wish them the best and we hope that they will continue to make music for all of us to enjoy. Here's the full interview:
