The historic Rock in the Box Weekend was another milestone for all artists and supporters of Filipino music in North America. This is indeed the farthest we have all gone in terms of our unity as one people. We have all made history and we we will forever be remembered for all our sacrifices and love. Never to be forgotten.
Many of us have traveled far to be able to connect with one another and celebrate our likenesses through music. We have gathered as one people and we have shown everyone that nothing is impossible...

NEW YORK– History was unpacked last Saturday here in New York City as jubilant artists and supporters from all over North America conclude yet another monumental Labor Day Weekend.

13 bands played to a packed Crash Mansion in celebration of Filipino music and the release of the compilation album Rock in the Box 2: ACI9, Circled Sin, Diablo Royale, Noizytoyz, Out of Luck, P.I., Qwadra, Rayzed, Steel Polly, Then Again, Trickbag, Alfa Garcia, and The Happy Analogues .

It was a fitting ending to a truly historic weekend of Filipino music that began Friday night at Rehab NYC.

Rock in the Box Weekend 2008 was perhaps the greatest showing of unity among Filipino artists and supporters in North America. It certainly felt like a family affair. The two-night event was hosted by Jeff Wiley with Feliza Mirasol of Five Points joining him on the second night.
