JERSEY CITY– Benefit shows are win-win situations. People get to see and hear awesome artists while helping great causes.
In the last three weeks, Jersey FilAm music fans were treated to awesome nights of pure FilAm music via two rocking benefit shows: “T.G.I.F – The Gawad Kalinga Benefit Concert “ held in Linden, NJ last April 4, 2008, and “Rock a Bye Baby” fundraiser for The March of Dimes held last April 12 in Secaucus, NJ.

The T.G.I.F. benefit featured an impressive set of performers, including Jason Castillo, John Violago, Jay Legaspi, Bleud, Juce, Music Happens, and Warholsoup.

The Roselle High School Filipino Club put the show together and raised a substantial amount of money to help the causes of Gawad Kalinga.
There was even some break dancing inside the venue. Notable breakdancers were: Marq and Ace of Warholsoup and the dashing Jay Legaspi.

The other show, this time for the benefit of the March of Dimes, was organized by Lyn Pelaez and also featured an equally hot lineup of performers: trCKBag, Jason Castillo, Matt Sia. Jing R.A., Lexicon John, Receptor and Then Again.
The show was a great mix of acoustic acts and Hard rock FilAm groups.

Both shows rocked and everybody benefited.
