 Rock N' Roll: loud, proud, and smothered in attitude…that's the jam that NYC hard rock quintet Diablo Royale kicks out. The band's lyrics cover everything from sexual innuendos to political satire, Choy explains: "We write about anything and everything, no subject is off limits for us because there is so much stuff that happens to you everyday, be it the girlfriend, the boss, parents, government or just stupid stuff like getting too drunk or having one of those horrible days at work …those are all life experiences that everyone can relate to at some point or another." 
  
Diablo Royale came together in 2005 when, guitarists Eric Choy and Gerard Steixner got together with drummer Mike Sankari to create a band that would encompass their idea of what rock n' roll should sound like. The three began writing and auditioning musicians for over a year when they finally met Adrian Barrios and bassist Jason "Sweet" Leaf through an ad posted on the internet. With the lineup complete the five hunkered down in a basement studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (appropriately named "The Sweatshop") and crafted their first ten songs until they were ready for wax on their self-titled debut album, released in February 2007. Taking their influences from all the best bands ranging from Aerosmith to Zep, the final result can be best described as a bombastic sonic assault on the ears that is sure to knock you into next week!
 
When it comes to being onstage, vocalist Barrios seethes with the kind of reptilian charisma that rock fans instantly find mesmerizing. Choy's guitar heroics are complimented by Steixner's stone cold consistency while the rhythm-section interplay between Leaf and Sankari is like a knockout combination from a heavyweight champ. In a short time the band has managed to cut their teeth in the local clubs of New York and as bassist Jason Leaf puts it, "We're looking to infect the masses with our brand of rock n' roll!"

Brief history of "ALTERBRIDGE"

Thickheaded riffs unfold smoothly into elegiac, addictive choruses on Alter Bridge tracks, like their hit “Open Your Eyes.” After Creed’s dissolution, guitarist Mark Tremoni and drummer Scott Phillips tapped bassist Brian Marshall for a new incarnation of the band’s once spectacular rock presence. Previous Mayfield Four vocalist Myles Kennedy adeptly handles the vocal duties, shirking the melodrama of his predecessor in favor of vintage, hard rock-worthy wails. The trademark soliloquy guitar intros that added poignancy to Creed tunes finds invigorated life in Alter Bridge. Their debut album One Day Remains sold spectactularly, escorting huge, mosh-tastic riffs, memorable hooks, chunky metallic bridges and go-for-broke finales into the genre. The band unleashed their second album Blackbird last year. The albums have produced thundering guitar-driven hits like “Rise Today,” “Find the Real,” “Broken Wings” and their latest “Watch Over You.” Return to the roots of rock ‘n’ roll with the core of Creed's harder side.

RECLAIM is organized by Filipino American youth & has featured some of the best young Filipino & non-Filipino American spoken word artists, emcees, rock bands & visual artists.

Now, in 2008, RECLAIM 3 will continue the tradition of celebrating the collective history, power and strength of the Filipino American youth through revolutionary art & culture! Join our cultural night of resistance!

Gilas supports access to internet and internet literacy in Philippine schools. Team Kaila is a fundraising initiative to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Sensitive Guys with Guitars will play a second show in New Jersey as part of fundraising for 2 causes:

- GILAS- short for Gearing Up Internet Literacy and Access for Students, their goal is to address the inadequacy of Internet connectivity in the Philippine high school system and wire all 5,500 public high schools to the Internet within 5 years, ultimately preparing the next generation of graduates in the country for the quickly evolving digital age.

- Team Kaila (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)- Team Kaila was formed in support of Kaila Arcenal, a personal friend of the Sensitive Guys who has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The funds we raise for Team Kaila will be donated in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the largest funder and advocate for Type 1 research.
